Shaw Farm, a country pub in Chelmsford

Shaw Farm dates back to the 17th century, under the reign of Queen Anne. The farm was given a special pardon to start the production of bread for the local area. Still set in the original farm house, Shaw Farm resides in South Woodham Ferrers, a small town in the beautiful Essex countryside.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

Shaw Farm is a stone’s throw away from several family tourist attractions, including Tropical Wings Zoo – one of the UK’s best small zoo attractions, there’s fun for all ages with free flying butterflies and birds, keeper talks and animal feeds.
