The Malt Shovel, a country pub in Uxbridge
We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.
The Malt Shovel pub restaurant is a beautiful 19th century listed building, which used to welcome guests working and travelling on the country's waterways. Now our canal side location provides an ideal place to relax and unwind in a town famous for its former resident, George Orwell, whilst enjoying our Real Ale.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
Charming country pubs in lovely locations
Our listed 19th century pub is by the Grand Union Canal - its grey slate roof and whitewash walls and distinctive character have charmed the many visitors exploring the area on foot and by boat.
Whether you’re out walking your dog or just exploring the local area, there’s always plenty to do around The Malt Shovel.
