The Windhover, a country pub in Northampton
We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.
The building is on land previously known to house The Boughton Cold Store, as it was a supply depot during the Second World War. The Boughton Cold Store was built to store perishable goods like butter, cheese and margarine. These stores were built close to the railway line, to make the loading and unloading of supplies easy for the Ministry of Food.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
Charming country pubs in lovely locations
Our traditional country inn with gardens is close to many beauty spots and places of historical interest, including stately homes. For ramblers, nearby Brixworth Country Park links to Pitsford Water, Pitsford Water Trail and Brampton Valley Way.
Whether you’re out walking your dog or just exploring the local area, there’s always plenty to do around The Windhover.
