The Cat and Fiddle, a country pub in Christchurch
We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.
Located in Hinton Admiral, The Cat & Fiddle is over 400 years old and is said to be one of the oldest pubs in England. Having been a hospice run by the monks of Christchurch Priory in the 11th Century, to then being the meeting place of smugglers and highwaymen in the 19th Century, The Cat & Fiddle has a wealth of history.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
Charming country pubs in lovely locations
The Cat & Fiddle offers the perfect spot to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings, whether you’ve been exploring the New Forest or visiting the many attractions near by, such as the Sammy Miller Motor Museum and The Deer Sanctuary.
Whether you’re out walking your dog or just exploring the local area, there’s always plenty to do around The Cat and Fiddle.
