The Hillside Inn, a country pub in Crawley

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

Formerly known as the King's Head, The Hillside Inn started life in the early 1800's, when many of our guests were coach travellers going between London and Brighton. Although the building wasn't used as a pub for half of the 19th Century, by the 20th Century The Hillside Inn was welcoming guests from all over West Sussex.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

A charming country pub in Crawley

Our gorgeous historic pub started life as a coaching inn during the early 1800s when coach travel between London and Brighton took off. We have a lovely patio and just south of the inn is Tilgate Park.

Whether you’re out walking your dog or just exploring the local area, there’s always plenty to do around The Hillside Inn.
