Located in Caerphilly, The Travellers Rest is perfect if you’re looking to get away from the bigger cities. It’s located around 20 minutes from Cardiff via Thornhill Road and the A469, and  around 25 minutes from Newport via the M4.

he Traveller's Rest dates back as far as the 1800's, records show it was granted its first license in 1864. Unlike many other pubs, The Traveller's Rest remained open throughout the Second World War. Mr George Lightfoot ran it throughout the war and continued to do so until 1971.
